PACK 86 MISSION STATEMENT

Cub Scout Pack 86 strives to offer a values-based youth development program for first through fifth grade boys in Lyndhurst and neighboring communities that focuses on character building, service to the community, development of positive appreciation for the outdoors and personal fitness. We are a family focused organization that follows the principles of the Cub Scout Promise and Law of the Pack and focuses on personal development through fun, adventure, achievement and hands-on learning via structured activities. We hope to establish a strong foundation that will lead to our sons becoming strong, independent, good and moral leaders for the next generation.

Pack 86 teaches each Cub Scout to be a good citizen, provides opportunities for mental and physical fitness, develop teamwork and future leadership skills, provides safe, fun and year round activities with outdoor skills and offers encouragement to each Cub Scout if the family wishes to develop and strengthen his faith.

UNIFORMS

The Statue of Liberty. Mount Rushmore. The Stars and Stripes. Like the great symbols of our country, Scouting uniforms are among the most recognized icons in our culture. In addition to creating a sense of pride and belonging, the uniforms exemplify the character, citizenship, and strength each Scout strives to embody.

For detailed information on proper uniform wear and placement of badges and insignia, consult the Guide to Awards and Insignia. Also, visit the official BSA uniform website by clicking on one of these figures for an interactive source for uniform essentials.
